"Successful R&I in Europe: 6th European Networking Event" on 30 and 31 October 2014 at Van der Valk Airporthotel Düsseldorf.

Le Ministère de l’ Innovation, de la Science et de la Recherche de la Rhénanie-du-Nord - Westphalie organise un évènement de réseautage ouvert à tout acteur de la recherche intéressé par les appels de HORIZON2020 en 2014-2015.

The event guides you to networks for projects in Horizon 2020, the new European funding programme for research and innovation from 2014-2020 with a budget of almost 80 billion Euros. The remaining calls in 2014 and the new ones in 2015 have a budget of about 7 billion Euros with the most attractive financial conditions ever (high funding rates, reduced time to contract etc.)!
"Successful R&I in Europe" has been a great success with over 1400 participants from over 27 countries since 2009. In 2013, 360 registered participants from 20 countries attended.

The event addresses enterprises, research institutes and universities and encourages them to become involved in established and new networks. You are invited either to give a short presentation (ideas for new projects, existing results or prototypes) or to find a partner by talking to decision-makers: both options open doors for new projects in Horizon 2020. The networking event will be structured in parallel workshop sessions focussing on six topics:

  • Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
  • Energy
  • Nanotechnologies, Materials and Manufacturing (NMM)
  • Sustainable Economy
  • Life Sciences
  • Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions

The call for presentations is open until 17 October 2014 at www.zenit.de/horizon/call.
We will inform all participants who take part in the call by 21 October whether their proposed presentation title has been selected.
Participation is free for speakers!

Keynote speakers at the event are:

  • Svenja Schulze, Minister of Innovation, Science and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia
  • Antti Peltomäki, Deputy Director General, Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry, European Commission
  • Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andrzej Górak, TU Dortmund University
